On 26 March 2017 ElevenPaths researchers, with Chema Alonso, presented DirtyTooth. Exploiting the way some iOS devices handled Bluetooth profiles, a speaker could change profile after pairing and go from "play music" to "access contacts and calls". More a liberal use of the specification than a single bug, but with a curious effect: the speaker started listening.
