Life
On 31 August 2017 a group from Zhejiang University published DolphinAttack: voice commands modulated onto ultrasonic frequencies, inaudible to people but picked up by the microphones of Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant and others. Exploiting the nonlinearity of microphones, a whisper beyond human hearing could dial numbers, open websites or issue orders. The name recalls dolphins, who really do speak in ultrasound.

Celebrated by disabling the voice assistant on the lock screen and choosing microphones that ignore ultrasound.
