Blessed BigDiskBuster, Who Filled the Disk for Pretend

Patron of Windows Defender, updates that never arrive, and disks full only in appearance.

Life

In September 2026 a researcher known as Nightmare Eclipse published BigDiskBuster, a zero-day against Windows Defender. Before updating, Defender checks the free space on disk: by making it believe the C drive is full, the update is cancelled, so the antivirus stays stuck on its old signatures while still running. No CVE, no official bulletin: just a disk that looks full.

Prayer

O Blessed BigDiskBuster, who convince Defender it has no room, let our antivirus always find the space to update. Amen.

How to celebrate

Celebrated by checking that Defender really receives updated signatures and keeping an eye on the disk's actual free space.

A disk full for pretend, defences stopped for real.
