Saint Nokia OBEX, Who Fell for a Filename

Patron of old Nokia phones, Bluetooth transfers, and filenames with one character too many.

Life

In 2005 it emerged that some Nokia phones, such as the 7610 and the 3210, crashed if they received over Bluetooth OBEX a file with certain characters in its name. Nothing needed to run: the attachment's name alone was enough to cause a lockup. A small, picturesque stumble from the heroic age of Bluetooth.

Prayer

O Saint Nokia OBEX, who topple the phone with a mere name, let our devices read every character without taking fright. Amen.

How to celebrate

Celebrated by updating the firmware, where any exists, and refusing Bluetooth transfers from strangers.
