Life
In August 2022 Mordechai Guri of Ben-Gurion University showed how to exfiltrate data from an air-gapped computer by vibrating its speakers at inaudible frequencies. A nearby phone, resting on the same desk, picked up those sounds not with the microphone but with the gyroscope, a sensor many apps can read without permission. Slow but silent, it was yet another covert channel in Guri's collection.
