Saint EVO Nano, Who Lost His Compass

Patron of pocket drones, no-fly zones, and those who land wherever they happen to.

Life

On 6 January 2024 CVE-2023-50121 was published: flight-control firmware 1.6.5 of the tiny Autel EVO Nano drone could be knocked into denial of service. The CVE's only reference is a repository collecting reports of Autel drones losing control at the edge of no-fly zones: a saint who, like the Magi of the day, followed a star but did not always find it.

Prayer

O Saint EVO Nano, who flies light and falls heavy, let our firmware know its borders and not crash into them. Amen.

How to celebrate

Celebrated by updating the drone's firmware, if the vendor ever publishes one, and flying it well away from people's heads.
