Life
In December 2018 the Tencent Blade Team disclosed Magellan, a flaw in SQLite's FTS3 full-text search extension: with crafted changes to shadow tables, certain queries triggered an integer and then a buffer overflow, up to code execution. Since SQLite is everywhere, from Chrome to Google Home, merely being able to send SQL was a risk; SQLite's creator played down its reach, but the fix landed in 3.25.3.
