The Miracle of Operation Endgame

The wonder

On 30 May 2024 Europol announced what it called the largest-ever operation against botnets. Between 27 and 29 May police from several countries had struck the "dropper" ecosystem, the programs that open the door to other malware: IcedID, SmokeLoader, Pikabot, SystemBC, Bumblebee and Trickbot. More than 100 servers were taken down or disrupted, over 2,000 domains seized and four arrests made.
