The Miracle of No More Ransom

The wonder

On 25 July 2016 the Dutch National Police, Europol's EC3, Intel Security (McAfee) and Kaspersky Lab launched NoMoreRansom.org, a free portal of decryption tools and advice for ransomware victims. In its first year it decrypted more than 28,000 devices for free, depriving criminals of the matching ransoms. The project has since grown to bring together hundreds of partners worldwide.

The miracle worker

The Dutch National Police, Europol's EC3, McAfee and Kaspersky, its founders, and the law-enforcement agencies, companies and researchers who have since donated their decryptors.
